Unity Hub Workgroup a week agoTHE MOTION PASSED!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I know y’all already know but wanted to commemorate the excitement. The exact language was “adopt the Unity Hub as our primary suggested method of online social connection“.
I don’t know how to predict how rapidly we will see people join, so we might get a major rush or it might be a slow on-ramp over the next couple months. I expect they will…

Unity Hub Workgroup a week agoMeeting Friday?
Hey y’all, do you want to do a quick zoom on Friday at our usual time (4pm I think, right?) just to touch base on what I/we are reporting at the Assembly as far as our game plan for Q3 and committee onboarding?
-
Sure. And since I will be there I can emphasize what is needed. So far, I have recommended that folks associate with the two committees I am on, for future use of the Zoom capability you have included.

New onboarding strategy
It feels like going committee-by-committee and homegroup-by-homegroup might be a better strategy than trying to do an open invitation.
The reason I think so is because groups are the primary thing that generate activity, so onboarding as a group is a way to make sure it feels useful right away. If your whole committee isn’t here then how can…

I agree that committee by committee may be the best and easiest option. The 12 Step committee is so early in its formation. Our next meeting is 13 April, in person. Since Elisa has accepted the invite I invited her to the 12 Step Experience. Hopefully that will have a positive outcome. We don’t yet have a roster. Kat is “Registration,” so…

I think that sounds great.

Unity Hub Workgroup 6 weeks agoWhere do we go from here?
There are still five weeks until the assembly, and it doesn’t look like people are spontaneously using the invitation feature like we thought they might. That means we’re on here with about a dozen people and it’s totally dead, so there’s no activity for the testing to be even meaningful. And that’s fine, we mainly wanted to catch any…

Keeping the Knowledge Base organized
People may post questions in the knowledge base that have already been answered. When this happens we can merge them into a single thread to keep the collective wisdom as searchable and helpful as possible.

VOTE: Ready for Phase 2?
Poll will be open for 24 hours unless it passes three votes (substantial unanimity of the committee) sooner. At 24 hours we will call the vote based on the votes received.
Is everyone ready for Phase 2 test users?

For those learning about traditions/concepts, the reason I put this to a vote is because it affects the committee, not just me, so it doesn’t fall under right of decision of the chair. Remember that right of decision has two parts – 1/ whether you need to check with the consciousness and 2/ to either make the decision or call the vote based on…

Unity Hub Workgroup 2 months agoI’m migrating my sites back to the new server today. If all goes well we should be back “home” by evening. Again this will be mostly seamless unless you happen to try to log in during the two or three minutes the DNS is propagating.
At that point I think we’re probably ready to start bringing our Phase 2 test users. We can monitor how that…

Okay, Mikester. How’s the migration going?

Practicing What We Preach!!
I feel like we could really lead by example if we stopped holding zoom meetings and just used the group to communicate continuously. What do y’all think?
Should we try moving all committee business to our group in unity hub and hold zoom meetings only when necessary?
