To match up to a familiar experience, just like on Facebook where you can either post on the timeline or post on your page and they both go to the same timeline visible to everyone, you can post here on the unity hub either to your own profile or the “announcements” section.

One difference is that they don’t have to be your friend to see it. Everyone can see the timeline of Announcements if you posted directly to it, or via your personal profile.

What *doesn’t* appear to everyone is posts you make to a specific forum or group. Those do appear in the Announcements section as well, but *only* for people who are following that group. So this is a great way to distinguish how you decide who needs to see your announcement.

A homegroup/committeee/district/area specific announcement is best in those groups (but, if you care about seeing them, be mindful to join the groups that matter to you) whereas a blast announcement to the whole fellowship is in Announcements/personal profile.

If you’re mainly trying to interact in a chatty way, consider a private message or group chat (both can be accessed by the inbox icon, upper right). But when I say “chatty” I don’t mean like where comments would equal discussion under a post. Comments on a post don’t trigger the announcements sections at all, they’re basically public group chats.
